HINTS & POLICY

We are Costa Rica Tropical travel, a full-service online travel agency located in San Jose, Costa Rica we also have a office in California. Through us, you can make all the reservations for your trip to Costa Rica hotels, car rentals, day tours, white water rafting, sportfishing, diving , Domestic flights -all in one co-ordinated location. We strongly recommend the hotels, tour operators and car rental agencies featured on the Costa Rica Tropical Travel web site, but we can and will book any provider in Costa Rica you indicate. To request a reservation or the advice of our travel consultants please complete the form indicated below.

FORM HINTS AND INSTRUCTIONS

In high season we recommend you book at least 1-3 months in advance.

In Low season you can book 1 week in advance.

We provide information and reservation services for all international airlines. Please provide us with your departure airport, flying dates, and the names of your traveling companions (and the ages of children accompanying you).

Because of airline schedules and transfer connections, you might plan to spend at least your first and last nights at a hotel near the airport or in San José .

AGENCY POLICY

CANCELLATIONS AND NO SHOW POLICY: Changes within 30 days of departure are charged $20.00 per person. If the change results in a cancellation of previously confirmed services, then the following cancellation penalties will apply for those respective services. If cancellation is received in writing by Costa Rica Tropical travel at least 30 to 45 days prior to departure, a full refund will be made, minus a $50.00 administrative charge per person plus the applicable supplier cancellation fees. For cancellations received within 15 to 30 days of departure a 50% cancellation penalty will be imposed. No refunds will be made less than 15 days prior to reservation date in high season.
REFUNDS: Any claims for refunds must be made IN WRITING within 30 days of scheduled return. All negotiable vouchers must accompany the claim. No refunds will be made for features included in our itineraries that travelers chose not to take part in. No refunds will be made for missing transfers or sightseeing tours due to changes or delays in airline schedules. Costa Rica 's Tropical Travel will not refund any money for changes in travel arrangements made by the traveler after the departure date. Any service issue affecting the quality of the guest's hotel stay must be addressed directly with the hotel's management at the time the issue arises since refunds cannot be given for such inconveniences.
